This week’s song comes from Bruno Mars.
Whenever I need to clear out my thoughts and feelings, this song does the trick.
Mental Hygiene
Just as we brush our teeth twice a day to keep our mouth clean, mental hygiene keeps our minds clear and healthy. When anxious feelings or thoughts of despair start to poison our attitude, practicing good mental hygiene reminds us to replace them with more valuable and productive ideas. Get up and Dance, shaking loose the stuck and making room for the new. Sing to clear out the throat and sometimes talking to someone can help us work through what has been bothering us. Either way, clearing out unhealthy thoughts is equally as necessary as cleaning away old bits of food and plaque to maintain a healthy body and mind.
Like waves on the stormy seas of life, we are always going to be facing challenges. The key to getting through those challenges is to focus on remaining grounded in who we are.
“Everything changes when you start to emit your own frequency rather than absorbing the frequencies around you, when you start imprinting your intent on the universe rather than receiving an imprint from existence.”
Barbara Marciniak
Life is a creative art, and with every thought and intention, we are co-creating our lives with help from the Divine.
Using music to tap into our inner power allows that creative force to flow freely and release stagnant energy getting in the way of love, joy, and compassion.
Happiness is a vibration above and beyond feeling scared, angry, resentful, or frustrated. Developing a practice of good mental hygiene helps us take control of our energy and create a life worth living.
What about you, my friendly blog reader?
