I’ve been looking at myself as a Boat for years, and it’s taught me to see myself as a whole person with a body, mind, and Soul. This painting, by my friend Mary, shows a Boat sailing into a beautiful sunset, leaving behind a wake. That wake refers to the legacy I’m leaving behind. After I’m gone, I hope to be remembered as a person who used creativity and intuition to love and heal herself and wrote a book about the process to inspire others.
I’m currently on Chapter 4 and am working to finish the rough draft by the end of the year.
Especially when you’re feeling scared and anxious about the future, ask yourself, “What do you want to be known for? What do you want your people to know after you’re gone?”
