The Lavender Festival at Blake’s Orchard and Cider Mill in Armada, MI, went incredibly well. I was glad to be a part of the crew from Rochester Holistic Arts. We offered a free massage, healing lotions, jewelry, crystals, essential oils for sale, and Alchemy card readings.

Although it was a little breezy, the weather was comfortable as we set up for all three days from 10 am – 5 pm. The event was jam-packed, with tons of people stopping by to look at stuff and get a few minutes of massage from our generous and talented crew, David, Brooklyn, Buffie, Brooke, Lisa, Kathleen, and Nic. We were thrilled so many friends stopped by for hugs and healing connections. The healing energy in our tent was noticeable and mentioned by many people.

The joy and laughter we all shared made this a fantastic event we can all look forward to doing again next year.

Healing and clarity

Nic and the crew at Rochester Holistic Art offer a wealth of healing knowledge, offering excellent practices and the ultimate intention to “Heal out the Best in you.” I’m grateful to be a part of the team.

I LOVE my job! Reading Alchemy cards for curious people interested in seeing the truth and value of who they are, is a gift we all get to relish. I also enjoy offering a monthly Boundaries class at RHA and the Creative Arts Workshop on occasion. I talked to many people looking forward to making a magic wand or burlap art. You could say I’m a busy lady.

My life’s work is balancing my time and energy as a devoted wife to Blake and a proud Mom to Garrett while being an author, artist, and intuitive card reader. This blog is a document of that exploration.

I’m glad you’re here and appreciate your feedback. xoxo

Curious people at the Lavender Festival

I lost count of how many times I explained the difference between Tarot cards and Alchemy cards. Here’s a quick reminder for those new to the blog.

Curious person: So, what is an Alchemy reading?

Me: You’ve heard of Tarot cards, right?! The Cards of Alchemy are similar in that they are all oracle cards; however, these don’t have the Devil, Tower, or any upside down. There’s nothing scary about Alchemy cards at all.

Curious person: But what about the bad news?

Me: Occasionally, some messages can be challenging to hear, but mainly, the cards offer action words, numbers, and symbols which I interpret to help you see what you need to build a beautiful life and relationships worth sharing. Especially when life stings, it’s a good idea to step back and see your situation with a fresh perspective. You might need a gentle nudge to find something good within a hard lesson or a reminder to take responsibility for your energy and attitude. I’ve been there myself. This stuff isn’t easy, and I promise to be kind and clear. My goal is to be a good ripple in the world. You can rest assured I have your best interests at heart.

Curious person: How long does it take?

Me: The four-card reading takes about 15-20 minutes. It shows your hopes for the future, what you feel is holding you back, your ideal future, and your actual future. I have other readings that offer more messages. You can find out more on my website.

Messages

Card reading at the Lavender Festival at Blake’s Orchard and Cider mill.

As I said, I LOVE reading cards and talking with people about life and soul development. I even had the pleasure of doing the Stretch with several people!

Every card reading was as unique as the person who sat down. Most everyone loved their reading and felt uplifted and encouraged by what they heard. Many folks said the cards confirm what they already knew in their hearts to be true. Others remarked, “So GOOD!” “Beautiful!” “Wow, that was incredible!” “Thank you, that was exactly the message I needed to hear.”

Inspiration

Over three days, I noticed a few themes kept popping up.

  1. When it comes to hopes for the future, there is a lot of transformational energy available right now. Our best protection starts with our awareness and knowledge of our boundaries. We can relieve pressure by getting rid of any toxins in the way of our health and happiness. The first step to healing is cleansing. Be gentle, don’t over-scrub.
  2. The main thing holding us back is giving too much without first filling ourselves up. We can’t serve from an empty cup. The energy we need to feel strong, balanced, and grounded comes from caring for our physical, material, mental, emotional, sexual, and spiritual health. Connecting with our Source, family and friends should be like brushing teeth; done regularly for good fitness.
  3. Our ideal future is to remember we are all gifts to each other. Whether we’re feeling like a shiny box with ribbons and bows or cold left-overs on a broken plate, we are all the Universe looking back at itself. Every day brings another opportunity to heal, fortify, and build satisfying relationships. We mustn’t give up hope. We must focus on loving our people and protecting our boundaries to give the best of ourselves.*
  4. Our actual future is about taking control of our transformation. Do we want to be happy, healthy, and prosperous? It’s not just money that makes a person wealthy. Having someone to listen and understand is also a form of abundance. Freedom to live our truth and having varied options are also types of prosperity. We can claim our power by looking at the many kinds of wealth in our life. Gratitude is a game-changer.

Good fortune

Thanks to Celeste for sharing the Creative Arts Workshop in the DIY section.

Twenty years ago, I started reading cards to help boost my intuition and develop faith in my abilities. The joy and hope that came from that decision are still paying dividends.

I’m still high from the happiness of connecting with so many wonderful people at the Lavender Festival. Spending quality time with my friends and co-workers from RHA, I also met remarkable new people I’m looking forward to seeing again soon.

I’m thankful to Celeste for sharing the Creative Arts Workshop with her people while doing the Creativity boards in the DIY section. It’s heartwarming experiences like these and the good people we get to share them with to create a life worth living.

I’m so grateful to Nichole for her help with logistics and good energy and to Stashu for her excellent vibes, taking pictures, and documenting the fun.

Thanks to everyone for connecting with us at the RHA tent.

Let me know if you’re interested in a future card reading, coming to Boundaries class, or learning more about the Creative Arts Workshop.
